100% capacity! Uefa confirm stadium plans for Euro 2020

UEFA have confirmed that supporters will return to stadiums across the continent for this summer’s Euro 2020 tournament.

The COVID-19 pandemic had resulted in the competition being postponed from last year but will go ahead as planned in various venues with fans in the grounds.

Eight of the host cities for Euro 2020 have had their schedules rubberstamped and are as follows:

  • 100% capacity: Budapest (subject to strict entry requirements)
  • 50%: Baku, St Petersburg (subject to negative COVID-19 test)
  • 25-33%: Amsterdam, Bucharest, Copenhagen, Glasgow (the capacity for the former three may rise)
  • 25%: London (this is a minimum and may rise for semi-finals and/or final)

However, it is unclear as yet what the plan will be for the other four venues.

Munich, Rome, Bilbao and Dublin have until April 19 to provide additional information on their plans before they can be guaranteed games as planned.
