International friendly report: Portugal 4-0 Israel
Portugal finished their Euro warm-up with a 4-0 trash over Israel on Wednesday evening, with Cristiano Ronaldo again in the score sheet.
Each half brought two late scores giving Portugal a big difference on a performance that otherwise was not the brightest, but Cristiano Ronaldo - in scoring their second before half-time - moved one step closer to Ali Daei's record.
The Juventus forward hit his 104th international goal in 175 games, leaving him just five shy of the Iranian's record.
Portugal had their fair share of chances but took until the 42nd minute to open the scoring through Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes. Cristiano then made it two just two minutes later.
The second half was again frustrating for the European champions before Joao Cancelo scored in the 86th minute and Fernandes added his brace.
Portugal are in the so-called 'group of death' at the Euro (Portugal, Germany, France, Hungary).
